LITTLE CAVEAT ON AUDIO
The audio comes with a caveat, and I had an entire Blog Post to write, but unfortunately my lovely little rabbit isn’t well and between being on a tight deadline with The Girl & Her Ren and dealing with him, I’m not able to spend as much time as I wanted on it. So, in a nutshell:
I am fully aware that there is English Spelling and English Terminology in this book (because I’m English and also live in an English spelling country). I wrote it that way because those are the phrases I use and with this book, I turned off all thoughts and just WROTE. Once it was on paper, I went over it and changed all the spelling to US, started to remove phrases and words that aren’t common in the USA and began ‘Americanising it’. However, a friend suggested that instead of trying to set it in America, why not leave it as a story that is transient of time and place. Not once did I ever mention a town name or city or country. Partly because Ren himself wouldn’t know or care as child, but also because I wanted the reader to place Ren and Della wherever they were or even imagine a fictional world of their choosing. It could be set in Canada, England, Scotland, USA or New Zealand. It could fit anywhere and I liked that. However, the amazing Will Watt and Hayden Bishop (fully within their creative license) decided that the characters could possibly be from South USA and gave them accents to match. As we hadn’t discussed my concept of it being a very ‘country neutral’ book, once I heard the audio, I realised I’d have to do a post to explain why there are some English Phrases spoken in an American accent.
So, that is my explanation.
I’m fully aware of it and it wasn’t a typo or laziness on my part. I was prepared to change it–and even started to–but I loved the concept of it being free to leap countries depending on where the reader was from, so kept it as is. As for the audio, I ADORE what Will and Hayden have done with Ren and Della and have to say the raw passion they speak with and the dynamics they bring to acting out the tale is second to none.
I highly recommend the audio–which is odd to say being the author, but even as the creator of this tale, I was transported to another world and fell in love with a boy who appeared from nowhere and a girl who grew stronger in every page.
So that’s my little caveat on the audio. I truly hope you love it as much as I do!

From New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, comes a delicious sinful hero.
“I met the man I wanted. But then he vanished, and a new man claimed me instead. My father approved, my colleagues congratulated, and behind closed doors, I was bedded by a stranger.”
Noelle Charlston lives a fairy-tale life: a doting father, a powerful job, and a future blessed with financial security.
However, two meetings with two men changes her happy existence forever. First, she meets the man who makes her heart sing. Three years later, she meets the man who makes her blood quiver.
Broken-hearted from a teenage romance, Noelle’s freedom is no longer hers. It belongs to the stranger her father believes is her perfect match. The stranger who pulls his lies over everyone he touches.
Including her.
Seduced and manipulated, Noelle gives into the mysterious Penn Everett. The lies he spins, the truth he hides, the mystery he weaves—it’s all enough to slowly erode the woman she is and turn her into something else.
Until her past collides with her present.
And it’s her turn to lie.
To everyone…including herself.
