“Things you should know about me from the very beginning:

I was born to true love, witnessed the destruction it causes, and vowed never to let such agony happen to me. I am not a story-teller like my father. I am not a writer like my mother. I am just a son—their son.

I am happy being alone.

And that is all I ever want to be.”

JACOB

The day he was born, Jacob learned his hardest and longest lesson.

It wasn’t a lesson a boy should learn so young, but from his earliest memories he knew where happiness lives, so does tragedy. Where love exists, so does heartbreak. And where hope resides, so does sorrow.

That lesson carved him from the kid to the teen to the man.

And nothing and no one could change his mind.

HOPE

I first met him when he was fourteen at a movie premiere of all places. A movie based on his parent’s life.

He was stoic, strong, suspicious, and secretive.

I was only ten, but I felt something for him. A strange kind of sorrow that made me want to hug and heal him.

I was the daughter of the actor hired to play his father.

We shared similarities.

I recognised parts of him because they were parts of me.

But no matter how many times we met. No matter how many times I tried.

He stayed true to his vow to never fall.

Blurb:

“Must be slim, able to stand for long periods of time, and be impervious to the cold.”

The headline caught my attention.

“Hours are negotiable, pay is minimal, clothing absolutely forbidden.”

The second line piqued my curiosity.

“Able to hold your bladder and tongue, refrain from opinions or suggestions, and be the perfect living canvas.”

The third made me scowl.

“Other attributes required: non-ticklish, contortionist, and obedient. Must also enjoy being studied while naked in a crowd.”

The fourth made me shudder.

“Call or email ‘YOUR SKIN, HIS CANVAS’ if interested in applying.”

The final made my heart race.

I should’ve kept scrolling past the advertisement.

I should’ve applied for the boring receptionist job at minimum wage.

I should’ve clicked on any other job where I got to keep my clothes on.

But I didn’t.

I applied.

My interview is tomorrow…

Sneak Peek of the Book:

Déjà vu pounded me from both sides.

Justin still hadn’t let go of me and it passed the point of discomfort to annoyance. Politely, I laughed and slid sideways to get away from his embrace. Gilbert’s gaze flickered to mine then back out the window.

The other two men kept silent, letting Justin have the stage. How odd that so many years had passed, yet it seemed like only moments.

Justin.

My ex.

Gilbert.

My nemesis.

“It all began with greed and gluttony and ended with diamonds and guillotines. Debts were incurred, contracts were written, and a curse landed on the firstborns from both houses.”

William Hawk was born into a family with vengeance rather than blood flowing in his veins. Against all odds, he transformed himself from pauper to Lord of Hawksridge. He became a smuggler, king’s ally, and ruthless businessman. But he had flaws as well as triumphs.

It was those flaws that ruined his inheritance. Those flaws that saved him from himself. Those flaws that brought him the greatest wealth of all.

  1. I read your recent blog and I truly think you are an incredible writer. Not just the eroticism of the story but the dark side you take us to. I have read all your books and they take me away from the stress of daily life, of work …to escape to these harsh, torturous scenes which as a reader, hoping for revenge, for love to conquer and annihilate the evil ones that harm the innocent. I love lover the Indebted series as much as I love Tess and Q…THANK YOU and I don’t know how you do it…write all these stories without getting them mixed up.

Selfishly, I wish Nov comes sooner for The Final Debt….it was hard to read, I cried and almost felt what Nila has to endure as she was tortured by the cruel insane Hawks – Cut, Daniel and Bonnie. You are one of my favorite top 3 authors and don’t ever stop creating…love you Pepper…

  2. geed. hope tomorrow is Nov. can’t wait for The Final Debt. for the meantime i’ll gonna read other series of yours. You’re the best. The plot is epic!

  3. I stumbled across the Monsters in the Dark series one day and downloaded a sample- 20 min later, I bought the entire series. That was 2 1/2 months ago. Since then, I’ve devoured everything you’ve written and wondered how I missed you? While Monsters is still my favorite, I absolutely LOVE the Debt Inheritance series. I’m not sure how I’m going to make it until November. Or what I’ll do when it’s over. But you def have a fan for life. Thank you for creating a world that I truly love to escape to (although I’m not sure what that says about me, lol).

  4. hi Q made me the happiest esclave in the world . He
gave me his heart , his empire , his ruthless
unforgiving love . And life finally left us in peace .
A man like my maître has special needs though ,
growing stronger as our lives intertwine . The only
way to survive his monster is to agree to all his
    desires .
    Including his latest wish .
    I ’ m his .

  5. Need the Final Debt!! Just read Ruin and Rule…WOW. I don’t think i can hold out until next year 🙁
Also loved the Monsters in the Dark series.
    Counting down until Forbidden Flaws…

Absolutely love your books Pepper, nothing compares.

    🙂

  6. Just finished Fourth Debt of the Indebted series and I’m waiting so eagerly for Final Debt! These are the first books of yours that I have read and I really admire your writing style. Your stories are amazingly dark and intense; they leave me breathless! Kudos for leaving me at the edge of my seat with anticipation for Final Debt!

  7. I just read all of the series so far of indebted….I am on pins wanting to read the final book…I love this work it is my absolute favorite…do you have an exAct date when the final book will be available…

  8. Hello Pepper!!!!

Firstly, your writing skill are impeccable… Its ver exquisite, and intriguing…. Its very difficult (at least from) to a find a book that consumes you and has you feeling all the emotions the character would be feeling. Ive read the “Indebted” series as well as “Sin & Suffer”… Im literally on struggle street, like an addict needing MORE…. KEEP UP the GREAT WORK…

    I’ve become a fan.

  9. I found the Debt Inheritance Series completely by accident on Amazon. On reading the summary I admit I wasn’t 100% sure but thought I would take a chance as I like to find new and interesting authors to read. WOW what can I say, I am so glad that I came across this book. I have now read all 5 books and don’t think I can wait until November for the last instalment. What strong characters and twists and turns to keep you on your seat. I have just seen your other series and might have to start reading those in the meantime.

  10. Hi Ms. Winters! Start off by saying I LOVE and have read ALL of your books!! HUGE fan, just wondering, though, if there is any new regarding Last Shadow? That hovered in my top 5 TBR books for years!

  11. Hi Pepper, I love your writing style it has all the elements I look for in my literature. Intense storyline with substance to both the main characters, slight (hopefully constructive critique), I would like to have seen a bit more substance to the secondary characters although, I can see the difficulty with the depth of the main characters and storyline (referring to indebted series).
You are in my TOP 5 best authors and my Top 2 with Sylvia Day for Romance genre, so please take my critique in the manner intended….you are FAB!
I know you are under time pressure for Final Debt and I would love to read it tomorrow however, I would much rather wait until Xmas rather than lose the quality. After reading a well known 4th book released to cash in on the momentum which left me feeling bitter and insulted not to mention ripped off by, the copy and paste job which, would not have past a run through any University plagiarism software…rant over lol!!!
    Get writing girl!
    Peace Out!
    Rustie xoxo
P.S I lost a days wages after staying up all night reading your last book…do I just send an invoice direct to you for loss of earnings?? Lol *Joke* kind of 😉

  12. I have just finished Tess and Q’s story, amazing, loved it and couldn’t get enough. I just couldn’t put it down I wanted more.

  13. Dear Pepper

I just want to say that I have enjoyed your books and am waiting with my tongue hanging out for the last Indebted book. Now that I am retired and have time to read other things beside my manuals, I am so glad I found you. Could you please let me know when the Last Indebted book will be release. Thanks.

  14. I just finished the indebted series and can not wait till the final one comes out !!!! This was the first I read from you and all I can say is I loved it. I have already told people at my job about this series and cant wait to read the other books from you. I love the story line and how it is so different then anything else out there. their was so much passion in it from the sex, the torture, drama, pulling for the underdog, passion, violence, compassion and so on. Great job.

  15. Hey, i’m loving your indebted series so far, and i was just wondering when exactly is the final debt going to be released ?

  21. Hi! I haven’t read the indebted series yet, but I have read Monsters in the Dark. I wasn’t really into the human trafficking story lines until I came across Q & Tess’s story, and I fell in love with every bit of their dark romance story. I just want to know, when does the novella come out? And more importantly, how does one become a beta reader for you? I would absolutely love to read the story, just to read it. You have truly turned me into a fan! I LOVE it!!!! Please keep stories like Q & Tess coming!!!!

  22. Hi Pepper, I can’t wait to read the Final Debt. I think that it was the best serie I ever read, really and I read Monster in the Dark too. You’re an amazing writter, please continue for our big fans…thank you

  23. Pepper I LOVE The Indebted series!! Is there any where to pre-order it other than just for ibook?? I really want a hard copy any would love to have it already ordered ahead 🙂

  24. I see it shows Indebted 6 & 7 are being released on Nov. 30th and can be pre ordered, only 7 can be ordered for kindle because #6 comes up to pre order on Amazon as paperback book only??? Why can’t I get 6 and 7?

  25. I can’t wait for the last indebted book to come out. This series pulls you in until you feel like one of the characters, and you watch as the drama unfolds around you. I find I have tears in my eyes, a smile on my face, or wishing for vengeance. What a rollercoaster! I’m not ready for the ride to end, but we know it will. Love hour book’s, the way you involve the reader.

      1. Hi Pepper
Finished the Final Debt and the Epilogue almost as soon as it arrived in my Kobo. And then proceed to read the whole 7 books again. Loved it all!! The scary and the loving bits. But was so unhappy we lost so many, some of whom deserved to pass from this world. Cant tell who or you wouldn’t get the full effect.
Then couldn’t wait to reread Monsters in the Dark.
As a result I am late saying thank you for some of the most enjoyable reading for a while.

  26. Hey Pepper, It’s November 29.. Just 1 more day until The Final Debt. I’ve already pre ordered both the books and kindle editions. So psyched…but I’m staying out of the chat rooms on Facebook…don’t want anything to spoil my read. Just checking in…will be back after I finish…Love your wild imagination. Keep them coming…❤️❤️

  27. I recently came across your books and first read Ruin & Rule only to be left hanging until next year for the next book :), so searched your other books and found the Indebted series – that was brilliant & lucky for me I only had to wait 2 weeks for the Final Debt – what an emotional roller coaster that was!!. Then on to Destroyed which was soooo good. About to start on the Monsters in the Dark series. Your stories and characters are brilliant and addictive, I love everything you write!

  28. I loved the epilogue to final debt, (I was so upset to see people slating it and saying that you’d done it for more money!!!) then at the end when i saw there’s also a prequel coming soon i literally nearly screamed (not a good idea when there’s a baby in the room asleep!!) All i could gather is that it’s coming soon, any rough idea of when? And i’m dying to read je suis a toi, i can honestly say i’ve read the monsters in the dark series 5 times, please tell me it’s very soon?!?!?! You’re definitely my favourite author, i can’t even describe how amazingly detailed and enthralling every single one of your books are. X

    1. At this point, I’m not in love with the story and it still needs work. I don’t have a release date right now but will let you know if /when it’s good enough to publish x

  29. I have completed the Indebted series and saw that there is a new one coming, Beginnings. I am so caught up in these characters and the story and was wondering if there are plans for V’s and Jasmin’s story?

  30. Hi Pepper, well I held off reading ruin n rule hoping to wait closer to the release of sin n suffer but couldnt! Now I have to wait another 26 days… I hope they pass quickly. I looooove your writing and story lines. I have my own revenge panned out ! But can’t wait for the book and the others you have to release next year.. oh that is tomorrow hehe. HAPPY NEW♡

  31. You truly grab readers by the throat, and you don’t let go! You take us to dark dark places to find our way back. Where we can finally breathe again. You can’t write fast enough! Keep it up! 😉

  32. I think you are a fantastic writer. It’s amazing how you can pull people into the stories, they seemed to take over, all I want is to get to the end for to read the next one, every series is as good each other.you have a brill lent imagination can’t wait for the new releases

  33. I love your books. I am an avid reading reading between 15 to 20 books per month. I have enjoyed everyone of your books I have read. Just finished sin and suffers, such a great series.
    Thanks for the entertainment.

  34. I see you don’t monetize your website, i think there is one opportunity to earn additional $$$ on your website, search in google for; idol4jp makes money

  35. I have read the Indebted and Monsters in the Dark series 5 times! I love them! I was very excited to see the announcement that Tears for Tess was coming to Audible this month (March 2016) I’m trying to pre order it but I’m not able to. Please tell me this is still the plan. I’m biting my nails. Lol

  36. Dear Pepper,
I just finished reading Unseen Messages – my first by you. It was absolutely haunting and I’d love to read something similar – not familiar with your series, so can you recommend something? That will be very hard to beat, thank you so much!

  37. I’ve Just finished Monster in the Dark series and omg wow. I am swept away by this story. It gripped me and I couldn’t put it down until I knew they were both fixed. The thought of their relationship having been broken was killing me. When their happily ever after came it truly lifted me up. Some would say they are broken but I they are the missing pieces to each other and although dark truly a beautiful relationship. It was hard to pull back and remember these are fictional characters when they felt so real. I hope you will be telling Suzette and Franco’s story. Any hints to that being a possibility?

  38. I have just come to the powerful realization that you, as an author, have ruined all other authors of the erotic/ romance genre as a whole for me. There hasn’t been one book of yours that hasn’t evoked torrents of emotion from me. At times making me question my own sanity all the while riveting me to the page and others making me sob like a baby (Destroyed was a different kind of sad). As I sit here scouring through Goodreads in search of something, anything, to read I can’t help but to beg of you, please release something else soon. Nobody does it with the grace and eloquence that you do. You are quite phenomenal.
